Did you know Get Healthy at Work will be changing soon?
From 1 July 2019, the NSW Ministry of Health will offer a new and more streamlined Get Healthy at Work program. We are working hard on reviewing the latest research and customer feedback received to date, and revising the program offerings for improved user experience and better health outcomes.
What are the NEW Get Healthy at Work program offerings?
Improvements to the program will include a new website with improved functionality and refreshed online resources, an expanded Brief Health Check that includes both physical and mental health and well-being components, and tailored phone support for Workplace Health Programs.
What if I want to continue with the current program?
You can still continue with your registration with the current Get Healthy at Work program. You will need to know a few things:
- The current program offerings will end on 30 June 2019.
- Face-to-face support from service providers will end on 31 May 2019.
- DIY Brief Health Checks and DIY Workplace Health Programs will be available until end of June 2019.
- You will NOT automatically transfer over to the new program.

Get Healthy at Work is a free NSW Government workplace health service that aims to help improve the health of working adults by giving workplaces tools and support to address:
- Healthy eating
- Healthy weight
- Physical activity
- Active travel (i.e. walking, cycling, public transport to work)
- Harmful alcohol consumption
Get Healthy at Work is currently focused on the prevention of chronic disease including type two diabetes, heart disease and some cancers. The free service consists of:
- Workplace Health Program Support
All the tools, templates and resources you need to develop a simple action plan to address a priority health issue at your workplace. The program is available online or at your business with the support of a service provider. Find out more
- Brief Health Checks
A free and confidential service for workers, completed either online or by a health practitioner at your workplace. It takes just 15 minutes and offers immediate feedback about an individual’s health and risk of developing type 2 diabetes and heart disease. It also provides advice on how to make changes for better health, with referrals to lifestyle coaching programs and other health services. Find out more
The Get Healthy at Work website is a one-stop shop for everything you need to implement, continuously review and improve your workplace health program. There are also some fantastic training tutorials to support you every step of the way.
