Mental health resources
Nearly half of the Australian adult population will experience a mental health difficulty at some point in their lives. Mental health problems can have a significant impact on the individual worker and the organisation with more workers absent from work because of stress and anxiety than because of physical illness or injury. Organisations can promote good health by taking simple, yet inexpensive steps to reduce stigma, improve performance, retain staff and improve the working environment for everyone in it.

Make Healthy Normal
With over half the adults in NSW overweight or obese, being unhealthy has become normal. Just a handful of belly fat increases risk of heart disease, cancer, stroke and type 2 diabetes. Join the Make Healthy Normal movement and receive a 10 week health and activity plan, along with reminders and tips to help you complete each step. The website also provides ideas, recipes and exercises for your journey to a new, healthier 'normal'.

Get Healthy Information and Coaching Service
The Get Healthy Information and Coaching Service is a free, confidential telephone service to help people make lifestyle changes in relation to healthy eating, being physically active and achieving and maintaining a healthy weight. It also offers coaching and materials specific to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island communities. Phone: 1300 806 258

Heart Foundation
The Heart Foundation has a wide range of publications and brochures on topics such as physical activity, healthy eating and heart health. It also has specific information and resources on workplace wellness, including Healthy Catering Guidelines, the Heartmoves program and community-based and workplace-based walking programs.

The 8700 campaign provides information about the average Australian adult daily intake of 8,700 kJ and encourages people to read the kJ labelling on food to make healthier choices. The website features plenty of tools to help you promote healthy weight within the workplace and for workers to understand their individual daily energy requirements.

Australian Government Healthy Worker Initiative
The national portal for the Healthy Workers Initiative provides useful links, case studies, materials and tools to make your workplace healthier. 

iCanQuit is an online service of the Cancer Institute NSW. Their website has a range of resources on quitting smoking including a quit guide, stories and experiences about quitting and a workplace training module to help create smoke-free workplaces. Multilingual resources are also available on Australian Government Quit Smoking website

Alcohol and Drug Information Service (ADIS)
