Being healthy. This isn't just about avoiding the flu or eating your greens. It's about making healthy lifestyle choices, feeling good day-to-day and having the energy to do what you want to do.
Your Brief Health Check will help assess your risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease, and will help you to start thinking about some changes you could make for the better.
Note, your Brief Health Check doesn't replace a visit to the doctor. Your doctor can check your health in greater detail and help you plan further health checks in the future.
It takes just 15 minutes
Conducted either at your workplace by a health practitioner or online, your Brief Health Check will take just 15 minutes. Your employer will advise which option(s) is available for you.
Your Brief Health Check consists of some quick questions and a waist measurement. No blood or urine samples are taken.
You'll receive immediate feedback and advice on some simple changes you can make to improve your health and reduce your risk of developing type 2 diabetes and heart disease. You can even receive referrals to lifestyle coaching programs and other health services.
Your results remain private; participation is voluntary
Rest assured your workplace will not receive any personal information about your health. Large workplaces, where 50 or more workers complete a Brief Health Check, will simply receive a summary of the overall health of their workers (without any personal details) that will help them identify a health issue to address through their Workplace Health Program.
